Saint-Suliac Heritage Association

Created in 1992, the Saint-Suliac Heritage Association aims to protect, promote, and pass on the historical, architectural, and cultural heritage of Saint-Suliac. Convinced of the importance of preserving this heritage for future generations, the members of this association are passionate and dedicated individuals who strive to keep this legacy alive in the heart of one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France.

The church of Saint-Suliac is a remarkable 13th-century building.

Listed building in 2001, this church is dedicated to Suliau (who later became Saint Suliac), a monk of Welsh origin who evangelized the region in the 6th century.

Inside, stained glass windows depict scenes from the life of Saint Suliac, and ex-votos, along with a stained glass window, bear witness to the village’s maritime history, particularly the epic of the Newfoundland fishermen.

Since July 2023, the church of Saint-Suliac has joined the French National Heritage Foundation. Thanks to this partnership, heritage lovers (locals or visitors) are invited to contribute to the preservation of the building.
